Between the airport, the hotel and the ship

What this service handles
Embarkation day compresses a lot of logistics into a short window. Flights land in the morning, the ship boards in the afternoon, the terminal will not take bags before a certain hour, and a family with six suitcases has to be somewhere in the middle of all of it.
Separating the bags is the obvious fix and almost nobody offers it. VaultPac collects the luggage at the airport or the hotel, holds it if the terminal window has not opened, and delivers it to the port on the schedule the cruise line actually works to. The passengers spend the morning somewhere other than a kerb.
The reverse runs on disembarkation: bags collected at the terminal, held through the day, and delivered to a hotel or an airport for an evening flight.

How VaultPac coordinates it
Every booking is a trip. A trip carries trip services, and each service breaks into the individual movements that actually have to happen — which is why the people and the bags do not have to travel the same way.
- Trip
- Trip services
- Individual movements
-
Luggage movement
Bags booked as their own movement, with their own route, their own timing and their own proof.
-
Passenger movement
Sedan, SUV, Sprinter, minibus and coach movements priced and dispatched by the transportation engine.
-
Secure storage between movements
Items can be held under custody between a pickup and a delivery, and released on a schedule rather than on arrival.
-
QR custody scan
Every bag carries a tag. Each change of hands is scanned, so custody is a record rather than a recollection.
-
Proof of pickup
Time, place and who released the item, captured at collection.
-
Proof of delivery
Time, place and who received the item, captured at delivery.

Trip → Trip Services → Movements
One trip holds every service on it, and each service breaks into the individual movements that have to happen. A single booking can carry people and bags on different vehicles and different clocks without becoming two bookings.
-
Multiple vehicles
Several vehicles on one itinerary, each with its own assignment, timing and passenger list.
What runs this movement
Assignment reads the passenger count and the bag count, so the vehicle that arrives fits both. Larger movements run several.

Why VaultPac for this
- Bags timed to the terminal's window rather than to the flight's arrival.
- Passengers and luggage on one booking but two movements, which is what embarkation day needs.
- Storage between the two ends is part of the movement, not a separate arrangement.
- Works in reverse on disembarkation, when the gap before an evening flight is even longer.
Important
- Cruise and port service is an expansion market. Chicago is VaultPac's operating base today; port coverage elsewhere is built through the operator network and confirmed per programme rather than assumed.
Questions
Which ports do you cover?
Coverage is confirmed per programme rather than listed as a blanket claim. VaultPac's own operations are Chicago-based; port markets are served through vetted local operators, and we will tell you plainly whether we have coverage before you book.
Can the bags go to the ship without us?
To the terminal, yes, on their own movement with proof of delivery at the handoff. What happens between the terminal and the cabin is the cruise line's process, and we hand over into it rather than around it.
